-it's okay: Thursday

For those of you who are new to the blog scene(or at least new to mine!) Thursday's are a time to reflect on things "it's okay" to do, to think, or to be pissed about. Enjoy (:

It's okay.....

to lose friendships because one person is acting like a four year old. It just is. Regardless of how much is sucks monkey butt right now, I just have to remember that it will all be okay in the end.

to still not know what I want to major in. College is a time of exploration and that's exactly what I'm doing.

that the Dem's won again in this election. It's a headache, sure, but it'll be okay.

that not everyone appreciates the value of respecting other people's opinions. Namely those people in my speech class who are disrespectful of my political opinion. My values are not your values, and I don't try to pretend like they are.

to be so in love with my boyfriend that nothing else matters. He's the one person who keeps me sane and for that I'm always thankful.

to be sarcastic. Nobody appreciates sarcasm as they should anymore and frankly, I'm over people acting obnoxious because they don't get it. Not.My.Fault.

Welp! That about wraps it up for this week...I'm sure I've got a few more things I could add to that list, but we'll keep it short and sweet.

- It's Okay: Thursday

It's that time again to link-up for another round of "It's Okay: Thursday." Last week was my first time participating in this link-up and I definitely felt better after a rousing round of self-justification. So here we are!

it's okay:

that I refuse to admit when I'm wrong or rather, when you're right. Being hard-headed is healthy, right?

to have bought yet another new nail polish to add to my collection.

on that note, it's okay to change my nail polish every day... I have the means to so.... carpe diem?

to look at my boyfriend and fully expect him to understand exactly what I mean. He knows me well enough that this shouldn't be an issue.

it's also okay to remind him at least 1509143 times a day that my birthday is in 3 days! That's Sunday if you'd like to send a card (;

to subtweet a subtweeter. We all do it. At least mine is more readily "oh that's about me" than most. Have fun, sweetheart.

to wonder who your true friends are when things aren't going exactly how they'd like them too. Yeah, we hung out a lot at school, but I haven't really heard from you all summer...sooooo about that friendship.

to be infuriated that you would actually say that to a guy I'm friends with. Seriously. who does that. Ugh. So angry. SO angry.

-currently v.1

I've seen this on quite a few blogs and I thought I'd give it a go as a change of pace from my normal posts! I believe the initiator of this post is Siddathornton, check out her blog! Enjoy!
------

reading - Article 5 It's a book I bought quite a while ago when summer first began and am just now getting the chance to start/finish. My guilty pleasure (50 Shades of Grey) may or may not have gotten in the way of reading it (;
writing - blog posts and homework. How exciting, right? I'm taking the time to plan out a few posts so I won't have to struggle to come up with a post for you guys! As for the homework, classes started this week and whoever said the first week is the easiest was obviously not in my classes.
listening to gossip girl! I'm almost done watching every season for the third time. It's by far one of my favorite shows and makes for the perfect background noise.
thinking - about how my birthday is in five days! I am SO excited and ready for it!!!!
smelling - my vanilla candle! Since my room is still in disarray I'm trying to at least keep things a little nice.
hoping - that my parents decide to let me upgrade my phone! I am so sick of having a completely out of date, useless phone that barely holds a charge.
wearing - my senior 2011 sweatshirt and yoga pants. It's my first day off in a while and I plan on enjoying it by not wearing real clothes/worrying about getting dressed.
loving -my boyfriend! He is seriously the most amazing person I've ever met and I'm soooo thankful for him.
wanting - the iPad back! I recently started playing Jurassic Park Builder on it and let's just say, I'm obsessed. My mom took it to work today and I'm going through massive withdraw.
needing -to do something exciting! I'm happy to be home instead of stuck in Evansville, but then again I also need to do something different than I've done all summer.
feeling loved, happy, excited, perfect.
clicking - blog posts...holllllllla

That's what's going on in my life currently, what's going on in yours?!

Friday's Letters

Dear B,  thank you SO much for everything you've done for me in the past few weeks. Letting me vent and rant and complain about all the stupid things that have happened has helped keep me sane. I love you<3

Dear Kat, I miss you. I hate that you already had to go back to IU....come back to me ):

Dear World, I hate you. I hate getting yelled at by mean people at work. I hate dealing with stupid questions. I hate dealing with school stuff. and I hate the fact that no matter what I do, it all seems to blow up in my face.

Dear Work, you're ridiculous and I hate you. Yep. I said it. I'm SO ready to not be there anymore. A year's a long time, right? Ugh.

last but not least,

Dear Parents, Thanks for finally leaving me alone about all this school stuff. That is all.

It's Okay: Thursday

A friend of mine has link'd up with other blogs for "It's Okay: Thursday" a few times now and I've decided to give a whirl, so here it goes!

It's okay that I have purchased the complete collection of two different television shows off Amazon in the past week. My favorite shows are now part of my collection and I fully intend on buying more soon.

It's okay to still be unsure of this semester and even next. I'm basically starting over at square one with school and I think I deserve the time to make sure it's done right this time.

It's okay to have been in an awful horrible no good very bad mood this past week. It's even okay to take it out on people who annoy me. I may not always be a ball of sunshine, but at least I'm honest.

It's okay to play games in life. Games bring out the most fun in people and when they're harmless, well, all's fair in love and war.

and last but not least:

it's okay to take a million pictures with one of your best friends before she leaves for school. after all: it's what we do.
